The duration each candlestick represents.
Common timeframes: 1m, 5m, 15m (intraday scalping/day trading), 1h (swing entries), 1d (position trading). Lower timeframes show more noise. Higher timeframes show clearer trends. Professional day traders typically use 15m for signals and 1h for trend direction.
