What we optimize for
Process integrity before outcome bragging. That means: defined risk before entry, managed exits, journals and discipline signals, and numbers you can audit (phantom P&L with realistic friction).
Markets are non-stationary. Any win rate without context is marketing. We care whether you followed the plan when conditions matched your rules — because that's what you can control tomorrow.
Educational playbooks vs live engine
Strategy articles on this site teach concepts used in discretionary and systematic trading (e.g. VWAP behavior, opening range logic, continuation context). They are not a byte-for-byte specification of the live product.
The production engine adds gates you don't see on a blog: universe selection, regime filters, cooldowns, daily caps, data quality checks, and risk overlays that evolve as we learn. When the app and a playbook differ, the app is the source of truth.
Illustrative vs live performance
Some marketing and education pages use illustrative sample data so you can see how tables, exits, and labels read — without implying a specific day's live track record. Where that applies, we label it prominently.
When we publish live aggregates, they will use frozen definitions: universe, slippage model, commission assumption, hold time, and how “win” is counted. We'd rather be precise than impressive.
Phantom P&L (what it is / isn't)
Phantom P&L simulates what a signal would have done under stated execution rules — including slippage and commissions where configured. It is a discipline and learning tool, not a guarantee of what you would have made with different fills, size, or psychology.
What we won't claim
- Guaranteed returns or “beat the market” certainty
- That past patterns repeat on demand
- That automation removes risk (Elite+ increases execution risk if misconfigured)
